(S)he is alive and lumpy over here in rural Michigan.
Somehow this weekend I managed to sleep wrong on ye olde Pad of Pain (Mattress #3 for which we grossly overpaid.)
Yesterday I woke up in misery and today –while better– is still not looking too doggone good. I fear a visit to the chiropracter is in order.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Indeed, at least my new doctor is gentle. My former chiro used to make me feel like a suitcase in the old Samsonite vs. Gorilla ads. He got the job done, but my head sometimes faced the wrong direction by the time he was finished. I stopped seeing him because everytime I got on the bench, my muscles would involuntarily clench as I thought to myself, “Please don’t jump on me…please don’t jump on me…” …and then he’d tell me to relax.
Ayuh. That’s gonna happen.
Thankfully, as I said, the new guy is more gentle. Still, I hate the thought of anyone touching me at the moment. “Do you really have to fix it? Can’t I just lie here hunchbacked, in misery awhile? I know one shoulder is higher than the other, but it’s almost Halloween–can’t you just let me crouch on the roof of your office ringing the lunch bell or something?”
If you have a little cheese to go with my whine today, I’d be much obliged. If you bring a nice Gouda, I’ll even share the spotlight. Go ahead and spill it–what’s got you frazzled today?
My sister’s ex has me frazzled.
Perhaps we could introduce him to your previous chiropracter? I know it would make ME feel better. 😀
Nothing a little Gouda wouldn’t cure. Can I bring some kalamata olives, a fresh baguette, and a little bowl of pesto? I think I smell a picnic…
Done, Kemi. I’ll even loan you my 2×4 of Reason if the situation calls for it. You just let me know.
You certainly may Elena, but we’re rather laid back in Up North Yonda. Sloppy joes and corn dogs would probably suffice. 😀
Oh come on!!! You said gouda! If’n you’da said American or cheese whiz, then I’da knowed! But don’t tease me with gouda and then turn your nose at kalamata olives, my dear. T’ain’t fair!
Can I bring chili and corn bread and we’ll call it good?
OOOH! OOOH! I’ve got the cheese 😀 (yeah, bad Colby joke). And that picture really freaks me out! Hope you’re feeling better!
I’m not too frazzled today, but you did get me thinking about my neck. I’m long over due for a visit to the chiropractor. Sometimes, if I twist just right, I can get my neck to pop back into place. It grosses my kids out. 😉
Bring both, Elena! I do love me some good eats. 😀 I’ll invite my sister–she’s talented at making fancy food like fussy sammiches with the crusts cut off, too.
Thank you, Colby–I am feeling a bit better.
Kween, my oldest dd can do that as well. LOUDLY. And it does her whole neck, so you’ll hear pop-pop-pop-pop-pop! Freaks everybody out!
That picture is disturbing. I’m hoping you didn’t feel exactly like that picture looks. :0 Here’s hoping the new Chiro. worked wonder’s on your sore back!
Like so many other say, the pic is kind of creepy….. I take that back; not kind of.. it is creepy!!! Is that how you feel today??? Aww I hope you’re feeling much much better tomorrow 😀
Feeling much better, ladies. Thanks so much! 😀
Yw! xo
😉
Glad you’re feeling better. I laughed out loud at “please don’t jump on me…” I know how you feel. My chiro feels like he’s tying me in a knot just to straighten me out.
